Thanks for supporting JOCR and IORG. As you already know the Orthopaedic Research Group has been working since last 5 years in the field of Orthopaedic Academics and Research. The main focus of our activities is development of practice based research. We wish to work to make literature and publication more practical and more relevant so that they can be used for direct and efficient management of the patient. For this we have striven hard and come out with concept like JOCR, MAPS, ALFA and new journals like Journal of Orthopaedic Complications & Asian Journal of Arthroplasty and Arthroscopy. On academic front we are working on organising more and more research courses and workshop to get more people trained in methods of research and thus help in creating an unbiased literature and research. In the same trend of promoting practice based academics we run the most unique and largest online case discussion forum with now more than 8700 orthopaedic surgeons from more than 50 countries as part of the group. More than 50 cases are discussed everyday with comments from varied angles posted by surgeons of varying experience. In doing all these we are challenging the already set trends and are faced with stiff resistence at points. One of the most pressing of our challenges is financial. Even at this stage IORG has not taken funding from any external agency will continue to do this with your support.
